  1. Flood have been causing havoc in central Europe . Some areas had two month's rain in two days . Rivers are swollen and still rising . In the Czech capital , Prague , streets normally packed with tourits are filled with soldiers and volunteers . Several people have been killed and thousands evacuated . At the zoo , the tigers are being sedated and moved ; the monkeys climbed to safety .

  2. This is the first English video I can see and study by heart easily. I'm trying to improve my English through Listening and i think BBC Learning English is the best choice for me! I will listen to news 10-20 times everyday. I hope my  English level will be better. Thanks you so much 🙂

  3. Hi from Argentina!!! I think they do not explain each word on purpose. This channel of the BBC is about learning English, and in this part of "Video Words in the News" they expect us to learn through its context. If the words are not clear, you have them listed to look them up in a dicctionary. 🙂

  4. You may explain every word in English what does it mean. For example: mexican heritage means your roots, where your family comes from. If you born in America you are american, but your heritage is mexican -)
    It will be more useful.

  5. Se supone que mis antepasados dieron vida para que se la ganaran los más guapos y los que se rían más,además de pretender por las mujeres que no nacieran de algo.Pero la cosa se complica cuando hay trampas y se une la gente para confundir.
